 Automatic elevated parking garages are common in Japan (view a video).
Car parking is a big problem in most countries of the world. Open area car parkings could be equipped by a simple elevated car parking equipment too. A pump - possible operated by a car battery - would elevate a platform with a car thus leaving a free space for parking beneath.
This service would be especially useful for parking cars belonging to one family or long-tme parking.
